The latest announcement by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic tells about a large German investor in the Serbian market.
It is about the company 'MTU AERO ENGINES', which is ranked among the largest technology companies in the world.The company is considered to be the leading German manufacturer of aircraft engines. Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy and MTU Aero Engines AG, Vucic said that the most modern airline has arrived in Serbia and that one third of all aircraft in the world have shares in this company.
"This is a great project, of great importance to us, which means a new life of Serbia's technology," Vucic said.
While on the other hand the ContourGlobal and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo have informed on the selection of the American General Electric (GE) conglomerate for the engineering, procurement, construction and long-term maintenance of the new Kosovo power plant, 'Kosova e Re'.
The decision came after rigorous scrutiny of bids received by world leaders in the construction of efficient and modern power plants, with minimal impact on the environment and community.
In 2018, General Electric (GE) was placed among the Fortune 500 as the 18th largest US company in gross income. GE is valued at $ 150 billion in the market.
This company is known as one of the largest and oldest energy companies in the world. It is also rated as the company that enlightened the entire United States. Today, its energy projects generate 1/3 of all electricity in the world.
About 90% of the power transmission equipment is of General Electric technology. Thomas Edison, one of America's most prominent inventors, has established General Electric in 1892.
Since then, the company has continued its journey and in 2012 it has been declared the fourth largest company in the world by Forbes Global 2000.
Today, General Electric has 300,000 employees. In Europe, in addition to the construction and long-term maintenance project of the New Kosovo power plant, General Electric has been contracted to lead the 1000 megawatts major contract for the construction of the Ostroleka C coal power plant, Poland.
