Rice will be planted in the lands of Zadrima for the first time after 30 years, since the communisem era.
Since the 1990s in Albania the rice has not been planted, while and tradition is being restored.The soil is being preparied to be planted and on the other hand the rice seed has four days standing in the water to get ready to be thrown away.
Everything begins with the passion that Altin Prenga - a well known Albanian chef from Lezha - has for the Albanian agriculture and domestic products and the rice planting experiment according to him will be successful, because we do not have to meet our needs based on the export, and our lands are being left fallow.
According to Prenga, with the rice cultivation in Albania, some of the autochthonous recipes will be revived. Before 1990s the Lezha area was one of the largest rice growers in Albania.
