In a reply to Radio Free Europe the spokeswoman for the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini, said that the "recent events have clearly shown that the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade should result with a durable and long-term agreement for normalizing relationships and the status quo is not an option.
Following the statement of the Serbian prime minister during the day, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who in a reply to Radio Free Europe, said that the language used by the Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić is "another proof of the pathological hatred path of Serbia's current regime against Kosovo's citizens".
Brnabic has made these comments in the presence of the European Union ambassador to Serbia, Sem Fabrizi, and this is because Thaci has urged the EU to punish as soon as possible and to distance himself from this "racist" language of Serbian officials who, according to him, incites hatred and undermines the efforts for the reconciliation and normalization, writes REL.
Kosovo and Serbia, have started the negotiations for the normalization of relations in 2011 with the EU mediation.
The negotiation process is currently stalled due to, as has been said, the 100 percent tax that the Government of Kosovo has placed on products imported from Serbia.
