The Albanian Institute of Statistics (AIS) states that the enterprises owned or co-owned by Italians and Greeks represent the largest share of foreign joint ventures.
The group of companies with owners originating from Italy and Greece account for about 52.8% of total foreign joint ventures. While their largest number is concentrated in the main cities of Albania.
According to AIS the foreign joint ventures are concentrated mainly in Tirana and Durrës districts - with 81.7%.
The activity of foreign businesses by sectors is mainly engaged in the sectors of services, industrial production and construction.
