Arnisa Morina |
She was just 3 years old when the Serbian paramilitaries killed her father in Malisheva's Gollubovci massacre and this moment served to make the promise that one day she would become a lawyer of Kosovars' rights against any injustice they have been committed to them.
Contacted by the Albanian Telegraphic Agency, Morina says she accomplished her promise when her father gave her life for Kosovo.
"Daddy is done, just as I promised you. Your daughter loves you, your little daughter is now a lawyer. If you were here with me today, Dad, I would have seen your eyes shine with pride, as your little daughter it's been graduated today to the Law School and has become a lawyer. I never gave up my dad, because the blood of my heroes is flowing in my veins," she says.
Just a few days ago, the Kosovo Consulate in Toronto held an event in memory of the 20th anniversary of the NATO bombing of the Serbian forces in the premises of the Ontario Parliament in Queen's Park.
The history of Morina has also become known by the Dream Refugee.
For the Albanian community, Arnisa is a well-known name because she contributes to the Albanian Excellence Society.
The Albanian Diaspora Minister Pandeli Majko has rated her as one of the young Albanian professionals in Canada.
