Centuries-old plane tree fell in Berat because of the storm

 A centuries-old plane tree crashed today in the segment between the two bridges in the city of Berat, but fortunately did not cause any hurt or material damage. The tree is learned to have fallen as a result of strong winds accompanied by heavy rainfall.

The collapse of the tree at the  Ura e Goricës-Ura e Varur has blocked the traffic of the vehicles on the road in one side, on this segment the traffick is being monitored by road police officers.

After the iron handrail was destroyed because of the tree, the plane tree fell completelly on the main road and the intervention of the fire brigade has cut the tree in pieces in order to enable the opening of the road and to continue the normal movement of the vehicles.
