We will not see Kosovo in Eurovision, at least for some time. The voting for the status changes at the European Union of Radio Televisions General Assembly, held in Oslo, has ended with a negative result for Kosovo.
The fundamental change, aimed at the entry of Kosovo in the European Union of Radio Televisions (EURT) was the abolition of membership in the "International Telecommunication Union" as a prerequisite for accepting a public broadcaster in the EURT.
Before the vote start, Serbia, Greece, Cyprus and 16 other states requested that the vote be secret and that their request was accepted.
Out of 1186 voters, 673 voted against, 400 pro and 113 abstentions.
