According to Kosovo Police, the tragedy happened on Friday, at around 11:30, while it was classified as "suspicious death".
"Today, at the Police Station in Fushe Kosova, a case of 'suspicious death' has been initiated. The case happened in the village of Sllatina, exactly within a facility where the victim was working," said the Police spokeswoman Flora Ahmeti in a written response.
She said the victim had fallen from the stairs, from a height of 4 to 5 meters.
"The victim, male, N.E. (year 1981), today around 11:30, while working, was suspected to have fallen from the stairs from a height of 4-5 meters and suffered severe bodily injury. The same was immediately transmitted to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, where the medical team found him dead. By order of the prosecutor, the dead body of the victim was sent for autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, while the case is being taken by the police and other relevant institutions", explained Ahmeti.
Since the beginning of last year, in Kosovo, more than 20 people have died in the workplace.
