Aleksandar Vucic |
During a media conference held in Belgrade, Vucic said he understands people's expectations of establishing justice for what happened on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
"We understand, not the joy, but some kind of satisfaction in our people because of the invitation sent to Haradinaj for the interview and the fact that he is suspected of war crimes," said Vucic, adding that there is no room for euphoria.
Haradinaj's resignation, according to the Serbian president, is a political move to gain even more popularity among, as he said, "extremists of Kosovo" being promoted as a brave fighter for maintaining the territorial integrity of Kosovo.
The Serbian President recalled that the Hague Specialized Courts formed to initiate war crimes suspects are operating under the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, which Serbia does not recognize.
Haradinaj, emphasized Vucic, will go to The Hague next week, will stay there for one or two days and will try to "come back as a hero", given the fact that Kosovo, according to Vucic, will go to the elections in September or in October.
All this, according to him, maybe for a scenario for a political elite who is committed to a "big Albania" to come to power in Kosovo.
At this conference, Vucic said that Serbia, however, continues to remain committed to "continuing the dialogue with Pristina".
