Besnik Emini, the first Albanian commander in North Macedonia army

Besnik Emini

 Besnik Emini takes the post of commander of the first infantry brigade at the Joint Operations Command at the General Staff of the Army of North Macedonia.

Emini as the first Albanian in this position replacing Dragan Kovacic, who in February of this year was appointed by former President Gjorge Ivanov, while the current President Stevo Pendarovski abolished the decision of his predecessor. Emin's appointment was made without the presence of the media, a practice that has never been so far implemented by the General Staff of the Army.
