Kosovo towards snap election following the resignation of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has resigned from his post. He reported the resign on Friday at the Kosovo Government meeting. The reason for his resignation is that he has received an invitation from the Special Court, in the capacity of the suspected and wants to appear only as a citizen of Kosovo and not as a prime minister.

"I irrevocably resign from the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo and I want to thank you for your trust and support. The reason for this decision is that I have been called to appear for interrogation by the Hague Specialized Chambers in the quality of the suspect. The governments and powers are interchangeable, we live in a democracy. The honor of the Prime Minister and the State must be preserved and I will never demean it. I will go in The Hague like Ramush Haradinaj, I will face the defenders, as the honor of the Albanian fighter demands," said Haradinaj.

Haradinaj said further that his purity and the KLA war, confirmed by two verdicts, may never be stained by anyone.

"My state is Kosovo, intangible in multi-ethnicity, multilingualism, within its territory and borders. Kosovo has unfair pressure on the recognition price from Serbia. The division or the Dodik Republic are unaffordable for Kosovo and the stability of the region."

He further said that as the Prime Minister of the Kosovo Government he strongly believes that the price for recognition is the market and for this tax should be the price of recognition.

"The international community is making the mistake of insisting on an irresistible price for Kosovo for recognition. Kosovo's leadership is making the mistake of not empowering the legitimacy of the tax decision on Serbia. Sooner or later we will understand how much damage is being done to the country with this division. The Euro-Atlantic Kosovo is interested in mutual recognition in the existing borders. The dialogue for recognition is also the path to free trade with Serbia. It is never too late to be united for recognition, not separation or the Republic of Dodik. "

Haradinaj further said that he ensures that the tax remains, the Kosovo Army goes ahead, and Trepça is ready for investments.

These were the words of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj at the last meeting of the government he directed before leaving for The Hague. While within 45 days of Haradinaj's resignation in Kosovo are expected to be held early elections.
