Agron Selmani, 41, has been detained after the DSS Diplomatic Security Service discovered another case of forgery and visa fraud, considered a serious crime in the US, which is also a criminal offense by the Albanian Penal Code.

The Diplomatic Security Service, which is a police branch of the US Department and responsible for investigating all applications for passports and visas, has notified the Albanian police of the next visa fraud, which has prompted immediate police and prosecution response.

Agron Selmani, according to reliable police sources, was the winner of the US lottery. But among the documents he submitted to the embassy before being interviewed, he also submitted false data, such as a diploma that presented the 41-year-old as a graduate of Jordan Misja High School in Shkodra. From the verifications that the embassy carries out for anyone through the DSS, it has been revealed that he had in fact never been enrolled in that school and that the diploma was false.
