Meta decorates the Greek Ambassador Eleni Sourani with 'The Knight of Skanderbeg Order'

 In a special ceremony held in the premises of the Institution of the Head of State, the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta decorated the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, Sh. S. Mrs. Eleni Sourani, with the high title: "The Knight of the Order of Skanderbeg".

In the presence of many ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic bodies accredited in Tirana, the former Foreign Ministers and Albanian diplomats and various personalities of the field, the President of the Republic handed over to the Ambassador Sourani the high title with the motivation:

"In appreciation of the outstanding diplomatic activity and valuable contribution to the overall advancement and strengthening of bilateral relations and the strategic partnership between the Republic of Albania and the Hellenic Republic, in further enrichment of friendly relations between our two neighboring peoples, and the sincere support of our country's European integration process”.

The President of the Republic stated among other things: “Albanians and Greeks have historically lived side by side as neighbors, so we need to live and work together for peace, prosperity, stability in our countries and in the whole region, and for a common future in the United Europe!”
