Carpenter, director of the Penn Biden Center, which also has served as political adviser to the US Vice President Joe Biden, told to VOA he believes Dacic is making a big mistake with this kind of call and that the support towards the European path of Serbia is an issue on which the two main US parties must agree.”
"The Serbian Foreign Minister plans to interfere in US domestic politics by rallying Serbian Americans to support Trump in 2020. I personally think he's making a big mistake, and U.S. support for Serbia's European path should remain a bipartisan issue”, Carpenter wrote on his Twitter profile.
"Specifically, as Foreign Minister, I will arrange to formalize the support for Trump in the next election. Serbs in America still vote for Trump. If we do this wisely, if we unify those votes that are not few, we will create a better position in the new US administration," Dacic told yesterday to the Serbian media.
