Pilgrimage to the holy Mount of Tomorr, large influx of visitors

Kulmak Tekke
Since two days have begun the annual pilgrimage of Bektashi believers from Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia on the holy mountain of Tomorr. They celebrate the feast in honor of Abz Ali. But the pilgrims like every year complain about the road that leads to Kulmak Tekke.

It is in a poor condition and there has been no intervention since a long time, as the days of pilgrimage make it difficult to climb to Tomorr due to the large number of cars.

We remind that in Albania is located the World Bektashi Archdiocese.

Meanwhile, the Berat Police have held patrols along two road axes to take them to the sanctuary to cope with the flow of traffic during these days.

The Chief of Road Traffic for the Berat district, Ali Yzeiri, says numerous police forces have been deployed throughout the area where the pilgrimage activity takes place, with patrols continuing 24 hours to 25 August.

The annual pilgrimage to Mount Tomorri takes place between August 18-25 and every year this feast of pilgrimage enrolls around 100,000 people from around the world and worldwide who visit Abbas Ali's Tekke, where they perform religious rites such as the sacrifice in his honor.
