Although the Albanian athlete did not register her best time, she did enough to secure this qualification. Luiza Gega competed in the second qualifying round of the competition, where the Albanian athlete ranked fifth with 9 minutes 28 seconds and 32 percent.
Her time was even better than that of the third battery winner, thus marking the 10th overall time of this race to earn the right to be in the grand final that will take place on the evening of September 30 in the capital of Qatar.
