Tusk on Tuesday in Tirana to support the opening of negotiations

 As Albania and Northern Macedonia await a final decision by European countries on whether or not to open membership talks in October, the European Council President Donald Tusk has confirmed that he will visit Western Balkan countries in the coming week.

The top EU official is expected to visit Tirana on Tuesday, September 17th, where he is expected to meet with top state leaders.

After that, Tusk is expected to visit Skopje as well.

Tusk is expected to convey a positive message about the opening of the negotiations for the two countries.
