Veliaj and Vukovic discussed joint initiatives in the fields of investment, transportation, finance, education, culture and exchange of experiences.
While congratulating Mayor Veliaj on the work done, Podgorica Mayor Ivan Vukovic described Tirana as a wonderful city. “We are very happy to be in a friendly city and country. We know that our governments have an excellent political and economic relationship, we are allies in NATO, and this is something we want to extend to the relationship between the two capitals as well. With the excellent work that Mr. Veliaj is doing in Tirana and being a source of inspiration, we are looking at sharing ideas. I am so excited to be in this wonderful, ever-changing city. Every time I come back, I see something completely new, different, thus congratulations to the Tirana team!” Vukovic said.
Mayor Veliaj said the two cities have more things that unite them than divide them, so it is time for this special relationship between the Montenegrin and Albanian governments to be also at the local level.“ I look forward to launching a new collaboration site with Podgorica. I will be back to Podgorica very soon, not only to pay a visit but also to see how our teams can work. We have a special report between the two governments, the time has come to reflect the same cooperation at the local government level. I look forward to rolling up our sleeves and starting work for our mutual success,” Veliaj said.
