"We have worked with the previous government for some time and made significant progress and we must continue to work with the new government, hoping that a consensual solution will be found," Rama said.
Speaking to the Greek minority, the head of government told Euronews journalist Semela Tuchtidou that Albania is an example of respect for minorities.
“Albania is a shining example of respect for all minorities and for the Greeks, who have lived there for many years, under the same conditions as Albanians. Yes, when there are problems, are the same for everyone, not one minority or the other. So these are nonsense. As for the law, we have worked for a long time to resolve property issues, very complicated after the fall of communism, when the regime that allowed no property to collapse and many things went wrong.
What we are trying to do is simply reformulate some of the existing legislation for the benefit of all, and fight a system of corruption that spills - we might say - people's blood on their property. But it is not just about the Greek minority, but everyone,” Rama said.
