The operation, codenamed "Kurila", has arrested the following citizens:
M.Z, 28 years old, resident in Korça.
A.K, 30 years old, resident in Korça.
K.N, 28 years old, resident in the village of Drenovo, Korça.
B.D, 36 years old, resident in Korça.
D.P, 26 years old, resident in Elbasan.
As well as the following citizens were declared wanted:
R.T, 23 years old, resident in Plasa village, Maliq (formerly convicted of “Theft”).
M.Z, 31 years old, resident in the village of Morava, Korça (previously convicted of “Production and possession of illegal weapons”).
The aforementioned nationals, in collaboration with each other, attempted to traffick 37.5kg of cannabis, Dressed as police officers to make it easier for the drug to cross the green border, in the village of Kurilë, Devoll.
In the quality of material evidence have been seized 37.5 kg of suspected narcotic cannabis, three vehicles used by suspected perpetrators owned by D.P ., M.Z., and B.D .; 18,550 euros, clothing with the inscription "Police" and mobile phones.
The work is underway to catch R.T. and M.Z nationals for full documentation of the incident, as well as for bringing the other persons suspected of complicity in this criminal activity to legal responsibility.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor 's Office of the First Instance Court of Korça for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in Narcotics, Committed in Cooperation".
