The Deputy Prime Minister of Infrastructure Artan Shkreli is the one who gave the news informing that the 10 selected companies have the deadline until February to propose their projects, and then the most favorable and the lowest cost bid will be announced. Once the competition closes, it will be the Ministry of Infrastructure and the EBRD that will review the bids and projects of the companies, and after 60 days the winner will be announced.
It is thought that travel tickets for citizens will cost from 1.5 to 2 euros. All investment is projected to about 90.5m euros. Shkreli has also explained that funding for this project will be funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
We recall that the first phase of the tender was conducted on May 15 this year, attended by 24 foreign and Albanian companies, but now in the second phase, just 10 foreign companies have been qualified.
The television media explain that the project for the rehabilitation of the railway and its construction will be done by the company and will be responsible for any problems that may arise afterward, whether for additional costs or technical details.
