Kukes Prefect Zenel Kuçana told to media that a series of preparatory measures have been taken as part of the measures taken to tackle winter civil emergencies in the Kukes region. According to him, the expanded meeting of the PPEC Crisis Commission with the participation of all responsible structures and actors dealing with winter civil emergencies was held under the direction of the Prefect of Kukës.
Kucana said the main object will be to keep alert the road axes that cross the District.
“All the 345.5 km national road axes have been given contracting firms that have sufficient capacities in technical and logistical basis to handle the situations. For the municipal roads with an inventory of 1214 km is being worked to take the necessary measures both for the performance of contracting firms and the utilization of their capacities,” he said.
Also the Prefect Kuçana states that measures have been taken for health and education services.
