Getting to Albania
The largest city in Albania is Tirana and is also its capital. With that said, Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza (TIA) services both private air travel and regular commercial flights to and from Tirana. There is another international airport in Albania that is called Kukës Airport Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (or Kukës Airport) and is located about 2.2 miles (3.5 km) south of Kukës, Albania. This airport was recently allowed to service international passenger flights as of 2016 and is considered the gateway to a well-known national park (more on that later).
Tip: Take your luxurious travel plans to new heights and take to the sky via private air travel so you can experience breathtaking aerial views while gaining the exclusivity from riding private.

Whether you are flying into Tirana or Kukës and want to continue your travel in luxury, contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate your ultimate VIP arrival experience. Otherwise, other modes of transportation include taxi, rental vehicle service, or by bus.
Tip: There is also an option to have a private limo service you, book ahead of time with your travel agent to ensure coordination.

If this is your first time visiting Albania, you are likely going to start your journey at Tirana. As mentioned, Tirana is the capital so there are no shortages of lux accommodations in the area. Whether you are looking for a luxurious cultural and historical visit or a nature-filled one, there is something for everyone to see and do. One of the top attractions in Tirana is Bunk'Art (Bunk'Art 1). Bunk'Art 1 is a 5-floor palace underground bunker that was built by the then, communist government. It has 106 rooms and an assembly hall. It is now a museum and art center that is open to the public. BunkArt 2 is similar to the former attraction but is located at a different site. It is also now an art museum that also displays Albania's history from 1912 to 1991. There are other museums around Tirana with some giving you an in-depth look at the spiritual side of the country. One other notable attraction in the city is the Grand Park of Tirana, a great escape to nature without leaving the city.
