Police notification:
The IACS arrests 2 police officers, 1 firefighter, as well as is prosecuting two nationals for "Fraud" and "Abuse of Power" offenses. The Internal Affairs and Appeals Service has arrested the following citizens last night:
- A.Z., Acting as the Head of the Order Section at the Rinas Police Commissariat, for the offense of "Fraud in Co-operation";
- E.H., acting Team Commander in the Order Section at the Youth Police Commissariat for the offense of "Abuse of Power";
- A.T., a firefighter brigade officer at Kombinat PMNZSH, for the offense of "Fraud, committed in co-operation".
Are proceeded in free state the citizens V.Z. and Sh.T. for the offense of "Fraud", committed in co-operation.
Their proceeding was carried out following investigations into the publication of a video in the media, showing images of the transportation and appropriation of a significant amount of food packages (seized in the quality of material evidence) intended for the citizens affected by the situation of the earthquake. Procedural investigative materials will be sent to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further investigation. The IACS invites every citizen to report on the green number 0800 90 00, for any case of abuse of State Police employees, guaranteeing a prompt and timely reaction.
