Anonymous Albania, the well-known Albanian hacker site has attacked the online site of the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA) and the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (EPC) by shutting them down.
The authorship of this action has been confirmed only by the administrators of Anonymous Albania who explain that this decision comes in protest against the 'Anti Defamation' package, which entitles the AMA to block the media and penalize them.
"The Audiovisual Media Authority has been attacked by us because the AMA claims have the right to shut down the media and to fine them. Aut the AMA has no right to block online sites or even fine them. The AMA has no right to ban freedom of speech because Albania is a democratic state! Anonymous Albania will protect freedom of speech and human rights in Albania," reads the announcement of Anonymous Albania.
