DP leader Lulzim Basha promised € 1200 salaries for Doctors as a response to mass emigration

 During his speech at the Democratic Party Youth Forum Political Academy, the head of the Democrat Party of Albania, Lulzim Basha among other things revealed also part of the opposition program. 

He said it was urgent to stop the exodus of doctors and nurses, and according to him, this must be done only by guaranteeing dignified salaries and safer working conditions. He also mentioned some sad figures, where he says that only during 2018 the Albanian economy has lost 560 million euros due to mass immigration.

"Just from immigration for 2018, the loss for the economy is 560 million euros, while in our hospitals there are no more doctors and nurses. In our program we expect to increase doctors' salaries to 1200 euros, and nurses to 700 euros. Only in this, way we will be able to meet the needs of the country with medical staff and to provide services wherever our fellow citizens live,” he said.
