“While expressing my condolences to the Albanian government for the victims of last month's earthquake, I would like to emphasize once again that we are providing assistance in assessing the damages, not only financially. Based on these assessments we will further extend our assistance through the organization of a conference of European governments to help Albania cope successfully with this situation. To restore the population to safety and normal life," said Di Maio.

In one of the tents of the camp has been signed the donation of rescue materials needed to cope with disasters and emergencies.
The Foreign Minister also expressed Italy's support for Albania's EU integration process during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"I emphasized to the Prime Minister Italy's support for the European journey of Albania and North Macedonia. Italy insists on the need for a positive decision for both countries, to set a date for the convening of the first intergovernmental conference and also for a mandate for the commission to prepare the framework for negotiations,” Di Maio said.
