Her company - Cellugy - has created a product made from sugar-based food waste that is promising for the future in replacing plastic packaging, both in the food industry, cosmetics and beyond.
"We collect fruits or other foods that have completed the process of value they have for consumption and we create this material with all the good properties in order to not harm the environment later," Leka said.
Asked by media if there was a demand to use this product, she said that China is a good opportunity to shift some of its product's production.
"The demands are higher in Europe and America, but only in the following year will the company I join select the investors, based essentially on which of them can give to the company higher market value," Serena adds.
