A 5-magnitude Richter earthquake struck Albania on Tuesday evening, with an epicenter in the outskirts of Durres, and has been felt in Tirana also, according to a Twitter post by the Mediterranean Seismological Center.
Meanwhile, the Institute of Geoscience in Albania announced that the earthquake was of 4.8 magnitude. In some footage displayed by local media in Albania, disturbed citizens are seen on the streets after the shakes.
The shakes are also heard in Kosovo.
A 6.4-magnitude Richter earthquake struck Albania on November 26, 2019, leaving 51 people dead and hundreds more injured.
Thumana and Durres suffered the most from the powerful earthquake tremors.
