Albanian President Ilir Meta call on Israel: Recognize Kosovo as an independent state

 President Ilir Meta during a visit to Israel while attending ceremonies marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz gave an interview to the largest domestic newspaper, The Times of Israel.

President Ilir Meta said among other things in that interview that Israel must recognize Kosovo's independence.

Meta says the Israeli-Albanian friendship that emerged again during the November 26 earthquake also brought out an interesting fact that his first teacher was Jewish.
