Construction worker killed while on work in Korça, two responsible arrested

 

 The day after the serious incident in which the worker Elvis Josifi lost his life as a result of an accident at a building under construction in Korça at no. 9 neighborhood, police arrested 2 people.

The construction firm's maneuverer and the technically responsible, who are accused of violating occupational safety rules have been arrested.

Investigations showed that during the concrete casting process, a metal segment of the chopper has been damaged, which struck the  36-year-old worker on the head by killing him.

Another 59-year-old worker has been injured in the accident and is thankfully in the hospital out of danger.

Worker safety, especially in the construction sector, has always been in question in Albania due to numerous accidents with consequences for workers that have occurred in recent years.
