Former Albanian national team captain Altin Lala renounces Albanian citizenship, becomes German

 Former captain of the Albanian national team, the footballer Altin Lala gave up the Albanian citizenship. The news was confirmed by a decree of President Ilir Meta, which states that Altin Dode Lala is allowed to give up his Albanian citizenship at his request.

The former midfielder spent one of the most successful times at the Hanover club in the Bundesliga and now appears to have opted to acquire German citizenship as well. Germany does not allow persons to have dual citizenship and that is why Lala renounced the Albanian citizenship.

Just a few days ago, he was at the 'Air Albania' stadium where she participated in the match of the stars aimed at the charity for those affected by the earthquake. Lala is 44 years old and in his career has played 79 games with the Albanian national, wearing the captain's belt.
