Tirana has been involved by a strong wind Sunday afternoon that has knocked down some trees in the capital's main streets and squares, while municipal workers are on the ground working to repair damage and help citizens.

The strong wind has also knocked down the huge Christmas Tree in Skanderbeg Square.

The municipality of Tirana has published photos of places where the wind has knocked down trees and alerts citizens of the capital to take care and avoid moving and staying in places where objects or trees are at risk of falling.

"Report any problem to emergency number 112. Our employees are on the ground helping every citizen," the Tirana Municipality reports.

About 2 months ago occurred the same situation, but the winds were not so strong.
While also the Electricity Distribution Operator (EDO) has reacted to the current situation in Tirana, where for several hours strong winds have accompanied the site and caused considerable damage so far, fortunately, there were no reports of casualties or injuries.
EDO has published some photos and writes that some damage has been done to the airpower grid and that measures are being taken to fix it.
