The Albanian aiming Formula One, Lirim Zendeli one of the champions in the automotive world

 Lirim Zendeli from Skopje, aims to become the first Albanian to climb the Formula One pedestal. This season Zendeli competes in Formula 3 after winning the Formula 4 championship a year ago at the age of 19.

"I see myself as a champion in Formula 3, but also in Formula One. I believe that with the right support this dream can be achieved. It would be great to be the first Albanian to achieve this," he says to media.

Zendeli says he started this sport as a hobby in Germany at the age of 10. Coincidentally, he trained at a private club of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher and the coaches recognized soon his talent.

“I started with Michael Schumacher's team, 4 years in karting. I have won German championships, world championships. Step by step we got to F4, where we won the championship, and now to F3," Zendeli said.

Sponsor and manager Sali Ajdini, another Albanian from North Macedonia living in Germany, says the main goal of this season is to win a Formula 3 title.

 "The second stage is Formula One. We have to raise another level and start Formula One contracts. The release is very firm. He wants to achieve the goal. The dream he has, with the support he has, will be easier to achieve," Ajdini says.

Lirim Zendeli is currently in talks to sign with the team of Formula 3, but the club's name is kept secret for the moment until the contracts are formalized.
