Albania has a private Stock Exchange for two years where only Government Securities are currently traded. The volume of trading on the stock exchange, according to its official announcement, stood at levels comparable to those of 2018.
The Stock Exchange has traded in Lek, dominated by: Client Transactions (76.7% of total traded value); Transactions executed during Office Hours (59.8% of total traded value); transactions in Treasury Bonds (86.7% of total traded value).
Regarding the type of title, most of the trades are carried out in Treasury Bonds with 5 and 10-year maturities followed by those with 3-year maturities. In the meantime, most of the trading in Treasury Bills have been done with those with 12 months maturity followed by those with 6 months maturity.
