Yuri Kim |
Excerpts from Kim's speech:
It is hard to believe that I have only nine days in Albania, in these nine days I have met the President of the Republic, the Speaker of the Assembly and this morning the Prime Minister of Albania and many other ministers including Minister Gjonaj.
I had the honor of meeting with most of you, and I may look like a broken tape recorder after saying the same things while insisting on how important justice reform is.
I would like to thank Ambassador Soreca, not only for the warm words but also for the excellent speech on justice reform.
We are all in one wing.
For all of us in this room, although we are German, American, Albanian we are all public servants.
...
And in fact for me as I look at this room of people in the field of justice I think of two extraordinary personalities. For Skanderbeg and Washington.
I believe that the spirit of Skanderbeg is present in Albania, I also think that the spirit of Washington is here.
And I fully believe that both the spirit of Skanderbeg and Washington are alive here and in that spirit I want to tell you to keep it alive.
