11 Albanians sentenced in France after trafficking cocaine and heroin from the Netherlands

 
 Eleven Albanians have been convicted by a Criminal Court in Anecy, France, on charges of acquiring, transporting and then distributing hard drugs.

The sentencing hearing for the detainees lasted two days, on February 13 and 14, 2020. According to French media, the group of Albanians consisted of members aged from 19 to 33, with sentences ranging from 1 to 9 years in prison. After the conviction, Albanians were permanently banned from entering the French state.

One of the accused, sentenced the most and a fine of 100,000 euros, was absent during the trial as he has not been cought but was declared wanted.

Referring to foreign media Oculus News learns that the drug trafficking network has been operating for about 1 year between March 2018 and February 2019 in Annecy, Cran-Gevrier, Rumilly, Annemasse, Gaillard, Viry in Haute-Savoie.

Meanwhile, the gang was attacked by police on February 15, 2019, and since that time the prosecution has prepared files for each of the 11 members of the gang. According to investigations, the drug was brought directly from the Netherlands.

The same day, French police carried out strict searches, arresting a total of 9 suspects, all Albanians. Two others were later arrested. Investigators had found 1 kilogram of pure heroin during searches, which if sold on the market would amount to 80,000 euros. Also during the search in the places where Albanians lived, was found second quality heroin, which if sold in the market, would be worth of 40 thousand euros. The gang was also found with about 17,400 euros allegedly coming from the sale of narcotics.

Annecy Police Commander Jean-Philippe Charvet at the time stated that the group was a pure criminal organization, with financiers and couriers, as well as hierarchical order.
