Health measures were added to Albania's seaports, airports and land following the news of the presence of coronavirus in neighboring Italy.
The government has set up a special team to prevent, control and protect the population against the new coronavirus.
Experts and leaders of health institutions decided in today's meeting to reinforce measures at border crossings to track possible cases of coronavirus.
They called for increased personal, hospital, laboratory and protective measures to prevent coronavirus penetration in Albania.
Travelers, authorities claimed, will be more widely informed to self-report to health facilities on possible clinical signs or contacts with cases of coronavirus in the affected countries. Also is going on the measure of self-quarantine of persons who came from countries affected by the virus.
Albania has also designated a hospital facility as a quarantine site that meets all standards set by the World Health Organization.
