Liria Prishtina, the Albanian among the Oscars 2020 winners

 

 Among the well-known names of the cinema and film industry during the Oscars 2020 was an artist of Albanian origin. It's called Liria Prishtina, which was part of the Oscar-winning costume design team for the film Little Women. The news was announced by the artist's father, Fisnik Prishtina, a successful businessman in Toronto.

He proudly announced on Facebook that his daughter's designs helped the team win an Oscar for the costume.

"My daughter's designs helped her team win an Oscar tonight for costumes (if you ask me, it was all because of my daughter) with the 2019 movie, Little Women, who's going to say 'mashallah' (God bless her)? Her designs are always elegant,” he said.

Liria studied in London. After Camberwell College, she attended fashion school, and today she has a successful career.
