In almost all European countries there is a large number of Albanian citizens who have to return home.
The government compiled a list of 1300 Albanians to return with Air Albania starting the following day.
But the number of those who remained on the roads is huge.
34 Albanian citizens have been blocked in Asmara, Eritrea's capital in Africa.
One of them writes to DITA's associate, the diplomat Fatos Tarifa, requesting that he make contacts through sensitizing government authorities to find a solution.
In his message, Alban Rapi says he has contacted the embassy in Riyadh, but no one has responded.
“We are in Asmara, Eritrea, and there are 33 other Albanians with me. I wrote to the embassy in Riyadh and they told me to give them an email address and a phone number. No emails were answered, no one picks up the phone. Can you contact someone from the ministry because there is also a lack of water here. We know it's hard to get a plane out of Albania, but maybe when the Italians get it, they'll take us too,” writes citizen Alban Rapi of Eritrea.
