“We all need to change temporarily the households. Those who do not receive a salary during this period will not be left to private enterprise that cannot bear the burden of solidarity. Therefore, we will have within this week a financial guarantee plan for the salaries of those who have left work in favor of staying home,” Rama said.
The prime minister said further that the restrictions have a vital benefit: “Do not question the vital benefit of the scandalous restrictions that are being imposed on everyone. This will not be a short fight. No one knows how long this war will last with the invisible enemy that has captured even the world's greatest economic and technological powers. The only remedy for reducing the number of casualties is the drastic restriction of our freedom of movement and distance from one another.”
Regarding those who continue to go to work, Rama explained: “Experts say that safeguards do work in a controlled work environment and the implementation of distance and hygiene tips. We have asked companies to take the simple and necessary measures to protect the staff."
