Andre Ljuljovic is the first Albanian-American to die of coronavirus in the US.
The son of Albanian immigrants was young and had married Janet Gazivoda on October of last year.
The news, published in the Illyria newspaper in New York, marks not only the first death in the community but also an example that the disease is also affecting young people.
In addition to family and friends, Andre is being mourned by the entire high school community, at Archbishop Stepinac, in White Plains, where they have recognized him as a strong student and athlete on the school football team.
Westchester, the White Plains area, has been one of the first major outbreaks of coronavirus spread in New York.
