Albania has made significant progress in the fight against organized crime and the rule of law. The European Commission has reached this conclusion in the interim report on Albania.
In the report provided by Oculus News, the EC points out that the suggestion to open negotiations with Albania in 2019 is valid and should be considered by the European Union countries.
The report, expected to be released today estimates that the number of asylum seekers from Albania has fallen sharply.
In 2019, only 5,599 Albanians applied for asylum in EU countries, unlike previous years, where the peak in 2017 reached 7,633.
