Today is the Bank of Albania's 95th Anniversary, Albanian President reacts

 The President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, has reacted on his official website relating to the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Bank of Albania. The Head of State emphasizes that the Bank of Albania has shown continued stability in terms of financial stability of the country, which through monetary policies has continuously promoted investments, consumption and economic growth of citizens during this mission, which began over nine decades ago.

“Today is the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Bank of Albania, one of the most important state-building historical acts that gave the country its national currency. The Bank of Albania has shown continued stability in terms of the country's financial stability. The easing monetary policies have stimulated investment, consumption, and lending in order to boost economic growth and the well-being of the citizens,” Meta writes.

Also, the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, strongly believes that this institution will know how to stay close to businesses and citizens in overcoming the socio-economic consequences that the spread of COVID-19 in Albania will cause.

“In the difficult situations that the country is going through, even as a result of last year's earthquake or pandemic, the Bank of Albania considers the support for business and citizens to be of particular importance. The Bank of Albania, through maintaining its independence and enhancing its professionalism, will always be a guarantor of financial stability and national sovereignty. Acknowledgment to all the professionals who served, from the first day of its establishment by the decree of March 15, 95 years ago, to the present day”, states the Head of State, Ilir Meta.
