The victims were Dorjan Shkoza, 35, and Anxhelo Avdia. Shkoza was the owner of a car paint business. He had an auto paint shop in the village of St. Vlash, Durres, and in 2006, when he was just 18, he was convicted of drug possession.
Police say have identified the license plate of the vehicle of the murderers and have been pursuing them. A few hours after the murder a burnt car was found at the entrance to the town of Rrogozhina, where it is suspected to belong to the perpetrators.
