Durres Police had surprise controls at all pharmacies to prevent drug trading at abusive prices.

Two pharmacy owners are being prosecuted for the crime of "Hiding Incomes".
Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Specialists at the Durres Local Directorate, implementing the measures set out in the Measures Plan to prevent, identify and hit abusive cases of increasing the drug prices, benefiting from the COVID-19 emergency situation created in the country, as well as concealing the incomes derived from the abuse of prices, have organized and finalized the police operation "Medication", in which two citizens, both pharmacy owners, have been prosecuted:
S. L., 32, resident in Durres, and E. D., 40, resident in Shijak, Durres.
During the inspection conducted in the pharmacy in the neighborhood Nr. 13, a quantity of hands disinfectants (antibacterial gel) with no tax bill were found and seized at abusive prices, as well as in the pharmacy in the neighborhood Nr. 4, sales without tax voucher were found.
Surprising controls will continue across the county to prevent and crack down on illegality and benefit from the situation created by abusing the prices of not only medicines but of any consumer product.
The materials were forwarded to the Durres Judicial District Prosecutor's Office for further action.
