Dr. Zeqiri, for many years working as a cardiologist in Gostivar, North Macedonia, concludes that in these conditions, “the immune system must be systematized as best we can and we can achieve this with maximum relaxation, use of fresh fruits and vegetables, seeds, cereals, etc., walking in the fresh air, exercise and then a long break”, he writes.
Regarding the isolation we have been in for almost a month and a half, the doctor says that this is a fatal and even fatal mistake: “Isolation and quarantine are fatal mistakes for the population for many reasons:
First: Eliminates the possibility of passive immunization. If we are deprived of the possibility of contact with the virus, we will remain unprepared for the next possible contact, and then the clinical picture will be much, much more severe.
Second: We lose in physical condition, and in that way, our immune response will fade a lot. For example, after a severe heart or other interventions, the first step is to get the patient out of bed as soon as possible.
Third: The possibility of activation of vitamin D is removed, which has an extremely large role in the immune and cellular system, for the bones and other well-being.
Fourth: When we stay locked up, we have depression there! Mental health is aggravated and compromised. Fear arises, the whole organism is stressed and in those situations the stress hormone is released - cortisol, which has destructive effects on the brain, heart, kidneys… but more important is the blockage of the immune system. When we are upset and depressed, the hormone of happiness is not secreted - serotonin, which also plays a role in the immune system, stimulates it.
