Director of Prison 313 Eduard Struga has been arrested for corruption in Tirana

 Oculus News has learned that the Director of the Prison 313 in Tirana, Eduard Struga, has been arrested this Friday. According to preliminary information, also confirmed by the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Structure, known locally as SPAK, he is charged with "corruption of state officials". Struga is accused of abusing food tenders in prisons.

Investigations into a tender by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office had begun three months ago, while the Interceptions have been made for some time in order to document the offense.

He was appointed to the post in October last year. Previously, Struga held senior positions in the State Police in the narcotics sector, while having a several-year career in law enforcement.
