Edi Rama-Kyriakos Mitsotakis agreement of seasonal emigration of Albanians to Greece

The orientation of the Albanians who will leave for Greece as seasonal employees will be done through the lists prepared by the mayors of the regional cities.

This is what Prime Minister Edi Rama said during the online meeting conversation with the mayor of Pogradec, Ilir Xhakolli.

Rama: On that issue of seasonal employees, I believe you are clear that in the coming days we will have an agreement with the Greek side, in the sense that both sides have an interest, within mid-May the matter will be resolved...

Xhakolli: We have prepared the lists, we have given the orders according to your orders and when you are ready when the partners are ready, we have the lists.

A few days ago, Rama talked on the phone with the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis about seasonal employees from Albania to Greece.

The Prime Minister stressed that the border with Greece for Albanian emigrants who want to go to work seasonally will be opened in mid-May.

It is estimated that tens of thousands of Albanians work seasonally in Greece in the agriculture sector.
