Kosovo is now independent of Serbia relating to the energy network. The decision has been taken today by the Transmission and Market Operator and made public by the Minister of Economy in Kosovo, Rozeta Hajdari.
Hajdari says the agreement was reached thanks to the support of international partners, including Germany and the United States.
"Today, April 20, 2020, at 17:00, the voting process for the New Connection Agreement KOSTT-ENTSO-E has ended. The new agreement was approved by the RGCE (Continental Europe Regional Group).
With today's vote and the subsequent signing, the New Loan Agreement between KOSTT and ENTSO-E, KOSTT and the Republic of Kosovo gain energy independence, for which has been working for several years.
On this occasion, we thank Germany and its partners, the United States and other Friendly countries. At the same time, we congratulate KOSTT for this extraordinary achievement! Congratulations Kosovo in this difficult time with Pandemic COVID -19 but with HISTORICAL SUCCESS! ”, Writes Hajdari.
